These terms govern your purchase and use of BriefBot ("the Product"), sold by the developer of this website ("we", "us"). By buying or using the Product you agree to them. Plain-language summary first, details after.
BriefBot is a digital download: a self-hosted, MIT-licensed Python application together with example configurations, a GitHub Actions workflow, a quick-start guide, and a validation report. After checkout you get instant access to the download. No account is created and no service is hosted by us.
The source code is licensed under the MIT License. That means you may use, copy, modify, merge, and distribute it — including commercially, including as part of your own product — provided the copyright and permission notice are included. Your purchase buys the packaged kit, future updates to it, and support by email; it does not add restrictions to (or remove any from) the MIT License.
The Product is buyer-friendly: if it's not for you, request a refund within the checkout window — up to 60 days from purchase via Creem — and we'll process it without fuss. Since the code is MIT-licensed and already in your hands, we rely on your honesty: please don't buy, fork, and refund in the same breath. Full details are on the Refund Policy page.
The Product is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You are running software against third-party websites and APIs; their availability, formats, and terms can change at any time and are outside our control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Product. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Product ($19 at launch pricing).
We may update these terms as the Product evolves. The version on this page applies to purchases made after its "Last updated" date; earlier purchases remain governed by the terms shown at their time of purchase.
