This policy covers two things: this website, and the BriefBot software itself. The short version is unusually simple, because of how the Product is built.
BriefBot runs entirely on infrastructure you control — your laptop, your server, or your GitHub account. Out of the box it:
The requests BriefBot makes are exactly the ones you configure, and go to exactly the endpoints you configure:
If those flows involve personal data, you are the operator of that processing; choose providers and channels accordingly.
These pages are static HTML. No cookies, no analytics scripts, no ad trackers, no session storage. Your browser fetches the pages; that's the entire interaction.
Purchases are processed by Creem, our Merchant of Record. Creem collects and processes your payment and order details (name, email, payment method) under its own privacy policy. We receive only the information needed to deliver your purchase and support you — typically your email address and order reference. We never see or store your card details.
If you email us, we keep the correspondence so we can answer it, and to keep context if you write again. We don't add buyers to mailing lists, and we don't sell or share addresses with anyone.
Because the product collects nothing and the website tracks nothing, there is no profile about you to access, correct, or delete. If you'd still like something deleted (e.g., a support email thread), write to us and we'll take care of it. The Product is not directed at children under 13 (or 16, where applicable).
If the Product or website ever changes in a way that affects privacy — for example, if we add download-delivery emails or analytics — we'll update this page and its date first.
